[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the
Town of Chili 9-2-1987 by L.L. No. 3-1987 (Ch. 25 of the 1980

There is hereby established in the Town of Chili
a Department to be known as the "Public Works Department of the Town
of Chili." Said Department shall undertake and perform such duties
and functions as may from time to time be assigned thereto by resolution
of the Town Board of the Town of Chili.
The Department created hereby shall be headed
by a Commissioner to be appointed by the Town Board of the Town of
Chili.

The Department created hereby shall have an additional position
created therein to be known as "Deputy Commissioner." The Deputy Commissioner
shall be appointed by the Town Board of the Town of Chili, and the
appointee shall undertake and perform such duties as assigned by the
Town Board, Supervisor and Commissioner of Public Works and shall
act generally for and in place of the Commissioner as required by
Civil Service Law § 41(1)(b).
