The sanitary sewers in Springfield Township
and the plumbing in any building connected therewith shall be used
only in such manner and for such purposes as permitted by the Board
of Health of Springfield Township.

Unless otherwise allowed by a resolution of
the Board of Township Commissioners, the following shall not be emptied
into, nor permitted to enter the Springfield Sanitary Sewer System,
nor any laterals thereof, nor any plumbing system connected therewith,
namely: roof water; rainwater; surface water; water from a cellar
or basement floor drain; drainage, seepage or spring water; inflammable,
combustible or poisonous liquids; or kitchen or household refuse,
whether whole, ground, chopped or otherwise processed or treated.
The owner and possessor and the renting agent
for any owner or possessor and the lessee of any building with plumbing
connected with the Springfield Sanitary Sewer System shall be responsible
for the use of said plumbing and sewerage connections and for each
days use of said plumbing or sewer system in violation of this ordinance
shall pay a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $50, but only one
fine may be collected for each day's violation.
Upon the conviction of anyone for any prohibited
use of the plumbing in any building connected with said Sanitary Sewer
System, the Board of Health shall have power, upon five days' notice
to the occupant or owner of said building, to enter said building
and disconnect any fixture used in connection with said prohibited
use, and the cost of said disconnection shall be paid by the occupant
and the owner of such building.
