Within 30 days of becoming the owner(s) of any lot(s) within the Township, the owner(s) shall present the survey of the property conveyed to the Township Tax Assessor for the official records of the Township, if a survey has been prepared in connection with the transaction to convey the property.
All deeds or other evidence of ownership presented to the Township for plotting and recording shall contain a definite identification of the location of the lot being conveyed by metes and bounds description or street and house number or lot and block number.
The Township Engineer may refuse to accept any deed or other instrument for plotting and recording if in his or her discretion there is insufficient identification of the lot or it does not comply with the requirements of this chapter.
The Township Engineer may require that any such deed or other instrument presented to plotting and recording be left at his/her office for such period as s/he deems reasonable for that purpose.
Any person or entity convicted of violating this chapter shall be subject to punishment provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
