[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Canastota 5-1-1995 by L.L. No. 4-1995. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Village of Canastota designates the following areas as Village Parks:
A. 
Municipal Building Memorial Area.
B. 
Canastota Firemans Park Area.
C. 
Spencer Street Park Area.
D. 
Little League Fields.
E. 
Clark Park.
F. 
Canal Street Park Area, between Commerce Street and Main Street.
G. 
Industrial Park Buffer Zone.
A. 
All village park areas as designated in § 144-1 of this chapter shall open at sunrise and shall be closed at 9:00 p.m.
B. 
All village parks shall be open to the public on a daily basis year around.
C. 
By order of the Mayor of the Village of Canastota or the Board of Trustees, the hours may be extended for various group activities.
D. 
There shall be no trespassing on the designated village park areas as described in § 144-1 of this chapter between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily and year around.

In addition to any regulations promulgated in this chapter and in any other chapter of this Code, the Board of Trustees shall be and hereby is empowered to establish, by resolution, and to amend from time to time by further resolution, regulations as to the use of the parks belonging to the Village of Canastota and otherwise limit the use of said parks by any person or persons, including, but not limited to, regulations concerning the equipment of every kind and nature and the operation thereof allowed in the parks, the manner in which foodstuffs left over in said parks from picnics and private parties shall be disposed of, the lighting of fires in the said parks and all other matters related to the use and operation of the Village parks and facilities.

Any violation of the provisions of this chapter, and of any regulation adopted by resolution of the Village of Canastota Board of Trustees pursuant to the authority contained in § 144-3 of this chapter, shall constitute an offense punishable by a maximum fine of $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
