All owners of buildings shall be required to display the street number
which has been assigned by the village and/or the Montgomery County 911 System
to said building in the manner as set forth hereafter.
A.Â
The owner shall display words or Arabic numeral(s) to
correspond with the assigned building number. The device or decal representing
the number shall be no less than three inches in height.
B.Â
The number or words shall be permanently affixed to the
surface of the building and shall be of a contrasting color to said surface.
C.Â
The numbers or words shall be affixed to a portion of
the building so as to be readily observable from the street, and where possible
near a lighted surface of the building or near a building light so as to be
more readily seen at night.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter will be guilty of
an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of
not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both such
fine and imprisonment. Each days' continuation of the offense shall be
considered a separate offense.

The Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer of the Village of
Fultonville as designated by the Village Board shall have authority to inspect
all premises within the village to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
B.Â
If, upon inspection of the property, the Zoning/Code
Enforcement Officer of the Village of Fultonville shall determine that a building
is not in compliance with the provisions of this chapter, he shall file a
written complaint with the Village Justice of the Village of Fultonville.
In addition to the penalties above provided the Village Board may also maintain
an action or proceeding in the name of the village in a court of competent
jurisdiction to compel compliance with any section of this chapter.[1]
