Department of Hospitals — See Art. VIII of the Charter and Ch. 5, Art. XIV.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Rockland[1] hereby establishes a public general hospital for the care and treatment of the chronically ill, to be located in the County of Rockland.

The hospital shall be maintained and operated in accordance with applicable provisions of law.
