GENERAL REFERENCES
Recreational vehicles ordinance — See Ch. 405.
Use of Town equipment and facilities — See Ch. 738.
Town-owned ATVs will be used only by Town of Madison employees.
Prior to operating any ATV for the purpose of official business, employee must attend and successfully complete a Town-approved ATV safety course.
If a Town employee wishes to utilize an ATV, employee will attend training course on his/her own time.
Town-owned ATVs may not be used to transport members of the public except in an emergency situation.
Town-owned ATVs when not in use must be stored in such a manner that they will not be accessible for unauthorized use.
ATVs are to be used by Town employees as a working tool to provide safe transportation and are not to be used for pursuit purposes.
ATVs are never to be used by employees to complete a particular task whenever there is any question as to the capability of the ATV and/or the operator to complete the task safely.
