There is hereby created within the Township of South Harrison the office of Deputy Clerk, and such Deputy Clerk shall serve for a period of one year or until a successor is appointed.
A. 
The Deputy Clerk shall, in aid of the office of the Clerk, maintain custody of the Ordinance and Resolution Books, and provide that such books are bound as required by the Revised Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
B. 
The Deputy Clerk shall be responsible for the timely publication of all ordinances and resolutions and other notices required to be published, in aid of the Clerk.
C. 
The Deputy Clerk shall further assist the Clerk, when required, and in the absence or disability of the Clerk, the Deputy Clerk shall have all the powers of the Clerk and shall perform the functions and duties of the Office of the Clerk.
The salary of the Deputy Clerk shall be as provided by the Township Committee.
