[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Dover 11-10-1986 as Ord. No. 36-1986. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall engage in or permit the work of sandblasting exteriors of buildings and structures or sandblasting of any other items out of doors unless and until such person has applied for and a permit therefor has been issued by the Uniform Construction Code Official to the applicant.
Before issuing the permit required by § 305-1 of this chapter, the applicant shall submit proof to the Uniform Construction Code Official that the applicant owns or will provide and install sufficient safety equipment such as windbreaks and/or source enclosures to reduce surface wind speed and contain or limit the emission of dust particles.
The hours during which sandblasting operations may be conducted are limited between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and the days limited to Monday through Saturday.
The fee for the permit required under the provisions of § 305-1 shall be $25 for a one-time permit and $50 for an annual permit.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to one or more of the following: a fine not exceeding $1,000, a term of imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days.
