[Adopted 7-27-1970 as Art. 38, Ch. H, of the 1969 Revised Ordinances]
No person, natural or artificial, shall act or throw any substances containing salt, salt solutions (salt brine), carbon bisulphide, carbon tetrachloride, ether, alcohol, petroleum products (benzine, gasoline, kerosene, lubricating oils, alkalines, ammonia, sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate) or acids (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid or chloride of lime) upon any paved street within the limits of the Town of Dover or permit any such substances to leak or flow from any premises or from any vehicle or vessel to and upon any paved street within the Town of Dover.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PAVED STREET
Includes all streets paved with brick, block, sheet asphalt, bituminous concrete, portland cement concrete, asphalt, wood block or any other hard-top surface, and any unpaved street which has been given a bituminous surface treatment.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall be subject to one or more of the following: a fine not exceeding $1,250, a term of imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days. Each day such violation shall be continued shall be taken and deemed to be a separate violation.
