A. 
The following terminal leave pay shall be given upon the voluntary resignation, retirement or death of any employee covered by this article with 10 years or more of service:
(1) 
Employees with not less than 10 nor more than 15 years of service shall receive 1/4 of the annual base compensation at time of termination.
(2) 
Employees with more than 15 years of service shall receive 1/3 of the annual base compensation at time of termination.
B. 
All employees covered by this article shall receive, at any time after completing five years of service (whether or not continuous) with the borough, a payment equal to 1/2 of said employee's accumulated unused sick leave days calculated at the rate of said employees' base daily compensation at the time of voluntary resignation, retirement or death times the number of unused sick days the employee has accumulated; provided, however, that:
(1) 
Said payment shall in no event exceed 120 days of compensation (1/2 of a maximum of 240 allowable accumulated sick leave days); and
(2) 
In calculating said payment, no unused sick leave days accumulated prior to January 1971 shall be counted.
C. 
All employees covered by this article shall receive, upon resignation, retirement or death, vacation pay in compensation for earned but unused vacation days. Vacation leave may be accumulated for not in excess of two years.
