Except as specified herein, the governing body
of the Borough designates the Planning Board or Board of Adjustment
to act, where appropriate, under this chapter. Any power expressly
authorized by this chapter to be exercised by the Planning Board or
Board of Adjustment shall not be exercised by another body, except
as otherwise provided herein, as the agency empowered to act under
this chapter.
A.
The Building Inspector, or his duly authorized agent,
is hereby given the duty, power and authority to enforce the provisions
of this chapter.
B.
All applications for building permits submitted to
the Building Inspector under this chapter and site plans shall be
reviewed by the Borough Engineer, who shall also be charged with the
responsibility of field inspection affecting drainage and other utility
improvements as specified herein. The Building Inspector shall maintain
a record of all applications with accompanying plans and documents
and shall examine all site plans approved by the municipal agency
for compliance.
Any person, firm or corporation in violation
of any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished
by a fine not to exceed $250 for each offense. Each day that a violation
occurs or is committed shall constitute a separate offense.
