There is hereby established in the Township
of Kingwood the position of Deputy Code Enforcement Officer. The Deputy
Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the governing body
as a full- or part-time Township employee, with such appointment to
be for a period of one year from the date of appointment and renewable
thereafter and/or until a successor is appointed and qualified.
The Deputy Code Enforcement Officer shall receive
an annual salary and such other benefits to be paid in the same manner
as the salaries and benefits of other municipal employees and officials
are paid and shall be subject to review on an annual basis as are
all other Township employees.
The Deputy Code Enforcement Officer shall assist
the Code Enforcement Officer of the Township of Kingwood in his/her
regular functions and shall perform such duties as directed by the
Code Enforcement Officer and/or the governing body of the Township
of Kingwood, or as otherwise provided by law. Under such direction
or during the absence or disability of the Code Enforcement Officer,
the Deputy Code Enforcement Officer shall have all of the powers of
the Code Enforcement Officer and shall perform all of the functions
and duties of such office.
