GENERAL REFERENCES

It shall be unlawful to operate any type of unlicensed motor-driven vehicle or conveyance, including but not necessarily limited to snowmobiles, two-wheel motor vehicles known as "mini bicycles," "trail bicycles" and "motor scooters" and four-wheel motor vehicles known as "go-carts" and "all-terrain vehicles" under the following circumstances:
A. 
On private property of another without the express written permission to do so by the owner of that property. The driver of such a vehicle will be required to furnish a copy of the written permission upon request by authorized persons.
B. 
On any public street located within the township.
C. 
On public grounds without express provisions or permission to do so by the property public authority.
D. 
In a manner so as to create loud, unnecessary or unusual noise so as to disturb or interfere with the peace and quiet of other persons.
E. 
In a careless, reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger or be likely to endanger the safety of any person or the property of any other person.

A. 
This chapter shall not apply to police and emergency vehicles.
B. 
This chapter shall not be applied to any recognized organization which has applied to the Township Committee for specific use privileges to specified township-owned lands and premises for the purpose of having organized and supervised activities, so long as an insurance policy is filed with the Township Clerk/Administrator for which the Township Committee has given its specific approval and for which the township shall be held harmless for any such use of its lands and premises.
The police shall immediately confiscate the unlicensed motor-driven vehicle operated in the prohibited areas or in the prohibited manner described in § 267-1. The unlicensed motor-driven vehicle shall be returned upon payment of the fine or upon direction of the court. This shall be in addition to any other penalty provided by law or ordinance.
