There is hereby created the Department of Code
Enforcement Office, the head of which will be the Code Enforcement/Zoning
Officer, who shall be appointed by a majority of the Township Committee
and shall receive such compensation and fringe benefits as provided
in this Code.
The Code Enforcement/Zoning Officer shall have the following
duties:
A.Â
To enforce
the municipal ordinances and Code of the Township of Manalapan, New
Jersey, as required or permitted in this Code or, in the absence of
any other designated enforcement agency, to enforce such ordinances
and the Code.
B.Â
To periodically
review and submit reports to the Township Administrator recommending
amendments and revisions in the Code of the Township of Manalapan,
New Jersey.
C.Â
To make
investigations, serve violation notices, make and process complaints
for violations of this Code and make any necessary court appearances
in connection therewith.
D.Â
To perform
such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Township Committee
or the Township Administrator.
