Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 35, Town Watch
Advisory Committee, adopted 6-15-1982 by Ord. No. 22-6-82.
There shall be a Town Watch Advisory Committee, which Committee shall
consist of one member from each existing Town Watch Organization, which member
shall be selected by his or her respective organization. Seven at-large citizen
members shall be appointed by the Township Council.
A.
Those members appointed by their respective Town Watch
Organizations shall serve at the pleasure of his or her respective Town Watch
Organization for an indefinite term.
C.
At the expiration of the aforesaid initial terms, the
Council shall appoint at-large members for terms of three years. Any vacancy
occurring, other than the expiration of a term, shall be filled for the unexpired
term.
The Town Watch Advisory Committee shall advise Township Council of serious
policy matters concerning the expansion and improvement of the Town Watch
Program. The Township will be divided into seven areas, one for each at-large
member. The at-large members will be responsible for their section. Each at-large
member will be responsible for six sections of the Township.
