Township of Manalapan, NJ Article I Parks and Recreation Sites

[Adopted 10-27-1993 by Ord. No. 93-30 as Ch. 160, Art. I, of the 1993 Code]

§ 163-1 Hours of operation.

A. All Manalapan Township parks and recreation sites shall be opened for use by the Township inhabitants and others desiring to use said park between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to dusk unless otherwise noted.

B. The Manalapan Recreation Center shall be opened for use by the Township inhabitants and others desiring to use same as follows:

(1) April 1 through September 15:

(a) 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sunday through Friday.

(b) 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday.

(2) September 16 through September 30:

(a) 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Friday.

(b) 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday.

(3) October 1 through March 31:

(a) 8:00 a.m. to dusk, Sunday through Saturday.

(b) 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday and Sunday evening.

§ 163-2 Posting of signs.

Signs setting forth the hours that parks will be open will be posted at each location setting forth at least the following:

"PARK HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to dusk.

VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED."

§ 163-3 Violations and penalties.

Any person or persons found to be in violation of the provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Judge of the Municipal Court of the Township of Manalapan.
