Traffic control islands shall be designated in accordance with the provision of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated, and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation. Said islands are set forth in Schedule XII (§ 226-70).
