[Adopted 8-27-1985 as Ch. 228, Art. II, of the
1984 Code]
For the purpose of this article, the following definitions shall apply:
Any cat, male or female, spayed or not.
Any dog, bitch or spayed bitch.
Any other domesticated animal or household pet, and shall include
horses.
No person owning, harboring, keeping or in charge of any dog, cat or
other animal as defined herein shall cause, suffer or allow same to soil,
defile, defecate on or commit any nuisance on any common thoroughfare, sidewalk,
passageway, bypath, play area, park, school ground or any place where people
congregate or walk, or upon any other public property or place, or upon any
private property without the permission of the owner of said property. This
restriction shall not apply to the gutter portion of the street right-of-way
from property line to property line of the owner's own property, in which
area such owner shall curb said dog, cat or other animal under the following
conditions: All feces deposited by such dog, cat or other animal shall be
removed immediately and disposed of.
