Four alternate member positions are hereby created on the Planning Board
of the Borough of Haledon, which members shall be permitted to participate
as the Municipal Land Use Act (N.J.S.A. 40:55D et seq.) provides under the
circumstances therein prescribed.
Said alternates shall be appointed by the Mayor.
Odd-numbered alternates shall be appointed for one year initially and
then two years thereafter. Even-numbered alternates shall be appointed for
two years. In no instance may alternates be appointed for more than two years
except as may be permitted by amendments to the statute, in which case alternates
may be appointed according to terms of the statute then in effect.
