The Chief Water Plant Operator for the Borough of Haledon shall be the general supervisor of the water supply system of the Borough of Haledon.
The Operator shall be responsible for all monthly, quarterly and annual reports, water treatment and the appropriate tests mandated by the county and local governments from time to time. The Operator shall be responsible for reporting to the state on all lab testing and the maintenance of files at the water treatment plant. The Operator shall work a forty-hour week and be available on all emergencies.
The salary of the Chief Water Plant Operator shall be as provided by the annual salary ordinance.
The Chief Water Plant Operator shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, and shall serve for a term of three years or until a successor shall be appointed and qualified. Said term shall commence on January 1 of each year and expire on December 31 of the year the term ends.
