Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135, the office of
Deputy Borough Clerk is hereby created.
The Deputy Borough Clerk, during the absence
or disability of the Municipal Clerk, shall have all the powers of
the Municipal Clerk and shall perform the functions and duties of
such office and shall have those duties which are assigned by the
Municipal Clerk.
The term of office of Deputy Borough Clerk shall
be fixed at one year from the date of appointment, and appointment
shall be made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council,
and the salary of the Deputy Borough Clerk shall be as fixed, from
time to time, by the annual salary ordinance.
