A.
It shall be unlawful to keep, house, tend or feed
and/or care for more than four dogs and/or cats in any household,
whether domestic, wild, licensed or unlicensed. The practice of feeding,
tending or otherwise caring for said dogs and cats will be construed
to take on a caretaker/animal association and fall under the restrictions
of this article.
B.
Any person or persons keeping, harboring or maintaining
in excess of four dogs or cats at the time of enactment of this article
will be permitted to keep those dogs or cats in excess of four, provided
that the dogs or cats are licensed, until such time they expire. The
owners will be prohibited from replacing any dog or cat which would
continue the number of dogs or cats owned, kept, harbored or maintained
to be in excess of four dogs or cats at the time of the enactment
of the article, and such owners shall be required to submit a written
notification to the Borough, within 20 days of the adoption of this
chapter, of the number of dogs or cats owned, kept, harbored or maintained.
