[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Haledon 8-13-1980 by Ord. No. 7-9-80 (Ch. 161 of the 1984 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PARK
Any tract or parcel of land within the confines of the Borough of Haledon that is designated by the Mayor and Council as an area where the residents of the Borough of Haledon and their guests may go for pleasure and/or recreational purposes.
The said parks shall be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Without in any way limiting the definition of "park" as set forth in § 262-1 or the applicability of this chapter to all lands within the Borough of Haledon fitting the definition of the term "park," the following lands and premises are hereby designated as parks and are subject to the regulations established for parks within the Borough of Haledon:
A. 
The Roe Street Field, which is bounded by Roe Street, North 15th Street, Bernard Avenue and North 13th Street.
B. 
The spring at the intersection of Tilt Street and Southside Avenue.

It shall be a violation if a person or persons possesses alcoholic beverages, explosive devices, glass containers, bicycles, motorized vehicles or pets or conducts himself/herself in any manner that violates any statute of the State of New Jersey or a Borough ordinance.

It shall be a violation if anyone other than a resident of the Borough of Haledon, guests accompanied by a resident of the Borough of Haledon, participants or spectators in sporting or other events sanctioned by the Borough of Haledon or persons employed to maintain the Roe Street Field have access for use of the Roe Street Field.

It shall be a violation if a person draws more than four gallons of water at any one time from the spring. No pets shall be permitted on the Tilt Street spring property.

It shall be a violation for a person who is not a resident of the Borough of Haledon or a customer of the Haledon Water Company to possess a key to the spring or use the spring.

Any violation of any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 for each offense or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days, or both, plus the cost of any damages.
