The position of Plumbing Inspector for the Township of Hamilton is hereby established.
The qualifications for the position of Plumbing Inspector shall be as set forth in the Uniform Construction Code, specifically N.J.S.A. 52:27D-126 and the regulations promulgated thereunder (N.J.A.C. 5:23-5.7).
The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Township Committee of the Township of Hamilton. The appointment shall be for a period of four years pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:27D-126.
The duties of the Plumbing Inspector shall be to receive and examine plans for plumbing work and to issue permits accordingly; to perform all duties required under the Uniform Construction Code and the regulations promulgated thereunder, including N.J.A.C. 5:23-3.15; to determine the cause and take proper corrective action with respect to all violations of statutes, codes and/or regulations under the jurisdiction of the Plumbing Inspector; and to perform all work related to the position as may be required by the Township Committee.
The annual salary for the position of Plumbing Inspector shall be determined annually by the Township Committee of the Township of Hamilton and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Annual Salary and Wage Ordinance of said township.[1]
