It shall be the duty of the Township Committee, after enactment of this article, to appoint by resolution one or more persons to destroy or seize dogs running at large under the following circumstances:
A. 
All properly licensed dogs (license attached to collar) found running at large shall be seized and taken to the dog pound and the owner notified to claim and take the dog from the custody of the Dog Warden.
B. 
Upon receipt of a complaint of wild, stray or sickly dogs, or the detection of such dogs by persons authorized under this article, such dog or dogs, upon investigation, detection and confirmation, may be destroyed on sight by such authorized persons.
C. 
Any stray, vicious or diseased dog or dogs may be destroyed on sight under the foregoing circumstances and only in furtherance of the protection of the public, private property and other dogs and livestock.
A proclamation shall be posted in public places of the adoption of this article, and such person or persons so appointed shall have full power and authority to seize or destroy such dogs as specifically referred to in § 105-6.
