Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:12-10, there is hereby created and established in and for the Township of Hillsborough the position of Municipal Court Administrator and Deputy Municipal Court Administrator.
The Municipal Court Administrator and Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall be appointed by the Township Committee. The Municipal Court Administrator and Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall be appointed for a term of three years commencing on January 1 and ending on December 31 of the year concluding the aforesaid three-year term and to continue in such offices until his/her successor(s) is or are appointed and qualified.
The Municipal Court Administrator and the Deputy Court Administrator, as a condition for continuation in office, shall demonstrate a commitment to obtaining a Municipal Court Administrator certificate issued by the Municipal Court Administrator Certification Board, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:12-11.
A. 
The Municipal Court Administrator and Deputy Municipal Administrator shall fulfill such assignments and do such work as directed by the Judge and as required by law and the Rules of Court. Moreover, the Municipal Court Administrator and the Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall perform all such duties and responsibilities as contained in N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq. in general and N.J.S.A. 2B:12-13 and 2B:12-21 in particular.

In addition, the Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall be responsible to the Municipal Court Administrator who may assign such work and duties as are consistent with the efficient administration of the Court. During the absence or disability of the Municipal Court Administrator, the Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall act in the place of the Municipal Court Administrator and shall perform the functions and duties of that office.
The Municipal Court Administrator and Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall receive such compensation as is limited by the Salary Ordinance as set by resolution, as both may be amended from time to time.
Pursuant to the rules governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey, the Court, if it determines that the efficient disposition of its business and the convenience of defendants so requires, may establish a Violations Bureau and designate as Violations Clerk the Municipal Court Administrator or the Deputy Municipal Court Administrator.
