There is hereby created the position of Township
Attorney for the Township of Little Egg Harbor pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A:9-139.
To be appointed to the position of Township
Attorney, an individual must be an attorney authorized to practice
law in the State of New Jersey.
The Township Attorney shall be appointed by the Township Committee and shall serve a one-year term, commencing January 1 of the year of appointment and ending on December 31 of the same year, or until a successor shall be appointed and qualified. The appointment of the Township Attorney shall be in accordance with the procedures developed by Chapter 40, entitled "Ethics."
