There is hereby created the position of Chief
Financial Officer for the Township of Little Egg Harbor pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.10.
A.
The Chief Financial Officer shall plan, organize,
manage and coordinate the various activities of the office in accordance
with state and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies, and perform
such other functions as may be required by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1(d).
The Chief Financial Officer shall also perform other related work
as required.
B.
To be appointed to the position of Chief Financial
Officer, an individual must possess a municipal finance officer certificate
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.13(a).
The Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed
by the Township Committee and shall serve for a term of four years,
commencing on January 1 of the year of appointment and ending on December
31 of the fourth year, or until a successor shall be appointed and
qualified. A vacancy in the office of Chief Financial Officer, other
than due to expiration of term, shall be filled by appointment for
the unexpired term.
