Whenever any words and phrases are used in this
chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in N.J.S.A. 39:1-1
shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases used herein.
All former traffic ordinances of the Township
of Little Egg Harbor are hereby repealed, except that this repeal
shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person
for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby
repealed prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
If any part or parts of this chapter are held
to be invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this chapter.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided
by New Jersey statute or another section of this chapter, every person
convicted of a violation of the provisions of this chapter or any
supplement thereto shall be liable to the penalties set forth in N.J.S.A.
39:4-203. Enforcement of all provisions of this chapter may be by
the Township Police Department or Code Enforcement Department and
all enforcement of any provision of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes
solely by the Township Police Department.
