A. 
The Township government shall be organized under the administrative supervision and direction of the Manager, into departments and offices known and designated as follows:
(1) 
Office of the Manager, as provided for in Article VII of this chapter.
(2) 
Office of the Clerk, as provided for in Article XI of this chapter.
(3) 
Office of the Municipal Public Defender, as provided for in Article IX of this chapter.
(4) 
Department of Law, as provided for in Article XII of this chapter.
(5) 
Department of Finance, as provided for in Article XIII of this chapter.
(6) 
Department of Health, Welfare and Human Services, as provided for in Article XVII of this chapter.
(7) 
Department of Planning and Building, as provided for in Article XV of this chapter.
(8) 
Department of Public Safety, as provided for in Article XVI of this chapter.
(9) 
Department of Public Works, as provided for in Article XIV of this chapter.
(10) 
Department of Recreation and Parks, as provided for in Article XVIII of this chapter.
B. 
Each department shall be subdivided into divisions and offices as provided for in this chapter.
The following boards and bodies of the Township are hereby continued:
A. 
Planning Board, as provided for in Article III of Chapter 170.
B. 
Zoning Board of Adjustment, as provided for in Article IV of chapter 170.
C. 
Municipal Court, as provided for in Chapter 15.
D. 
Free public library, as provided for in Article I of Chapter 6.
E. 
Local Assistance Board, as provided for in Article XVII of this chapter.
F. 
Environmental Commission, as provided for in Article II of Chapter 6.

Any member of any board or committee or commission appointed by the Mayor or Township Council who misses meetings for a period of eight consecutive weeks or for four consecutive regular meetings, whichever shall be of a longer duration within a twelve-month period, shall be removed from office upon notice and hearing before the Township Council. Absence due to legitimate illness or circumstances conforming to FMLA shall not be used to determine compliance with this policy.
