[Adopted 11-5-1979 as §§ 4-1 to 4-9 of the 1979 Revised General Ordinances]
No person shall sell or distribute alcoholic beverages except as licensed by the Township or state.
The Township Council shall constitute the authority for the issuance of licenses under this chapter.
No licensee, or any agent or employee of any licensee shall give, offer to give, or permit the giving of, any prize, drink, free game or thing of value in connection with the operation of any amusement device, or the playing of any game or contest, operated, played or entered into on the licensed premises.
A. 
The classes of licenses to be issued by the Township are hereby fixed as follows:
(1) 
Plenary retail consumption license.
(2) 
Plenary retail distribution license.
(3) 
Club license.
B. 
No limited retail distribution license shall be granted.
A. 
Not more than 11 plenary retail consumption licenses shall be issued and outstanding at the same time. Nothing herein contained, however, shall prevent the issuance of a new plenary retail consumption license to a person operating a hotel or motel containing at least 100 guest sleeping rooms; provided, however, that there shall be no renewal or transfer of such a new license except for or to premises operated as a hotel or motel containing at least 100 guest sleeping rooms.
B. 
Not more than four plenary retail distribution licenses shall be issued and outstanding at the same time.
C. 
Not more than five club licenses shall be issued and outstanding at the same time.
D. 
No limited retail distribution license shall be granted.

A. 
No new plenary retail distribution license for the sale of alcoholic beverages within the Township shall hereafter be issued for, nor shall any such license hereafter be transferred to, any premises located within 1,500 feet of other premises for which such a license is issued and outstanding; provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall be deemed or construed to prohibit the renewal, or the person to person transfer, of an existing plenary retail distribution license for premises duly licensed on the effective date hereof.
B. 
The distance of 1,500 feet mentioned and referred in Subsection A shall be measured in the normal way that a pedestrian would properly walk from the nearest entrance of the existing licensed premises to the nearest entrance of the premises sought to be licensed.
In addition to the penalties provided in § 61-9, any license issued pursuant to this chapter may be suspended or revoked for violation of any provision of this chapter or for violation of any provision of Chapter 1 of Title 33 of the Revised Statutes or of any of the rules and regulations promulgated by the Director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
