A. 
Vicious animal means any animal, including a dog, which attacks or bites any person in a manner which endangers the physical well-being of such person, without being provoked to do so, provided the attack is of sufficient severity as to demonstrate that the keeping of the animal, including a dog, will pose a threat to the safety of the general public. Any animal, including a dog, which attacks or bites any person in pursuit of any unlawful activity shall not be deemed vicious.
B. 
No person shall keep a vicious animal as defined in Subsection A above.
C. 
No person shall keep any vicious animal, including a vicious dog, within the limits of the Township after an adjudication by the Municipal Judge determining that said animal, including a dog, is vicious, provided that such person shall have 10 days after an adjudication to dispose of such vicious animal. However, the Municipal Judge may order that any such vicious animal be impounded by the Animal Warden during the ten-day period, in the exercise of his discretion.
D. 
Upon an adjudication determining that an animal is vicious, the Municipal Judge may in the exercise of his discretion order such animal, including a vicious dog, to be destroyed by the Animal Warden, provided that the owner or keeper of a vicious animal or vicious dog shall have 10 days after an adjudication to dispose of such vicious animal or vicious dog.
No person shall:
A. 
Cause, allow, suffer or permit any horses, cattle, swine, goats, poultry or other animals of any kind whatever owned, kept, harbored or maintained by him to run at large in the Township.
B. 
Cause, allow, suffer or permit any horses, cattle, swine, goats, poultry or other animals of any kind whatever, owned, kept, harbored, or maintained by him to trespass upon the lands of any other person or in any manner to destroy or damage any property, either real or personal, of any other person.
C. 
Fail to restrain any horses, cattle, swine, goats, poultry or other animals owned, kept, harbored or maintained by him from running at large, trespassing, or destroying or damaging property as above set forth.
A. 
No person shall have in his custody, harbor, possess, exhibit or impound any bear, lion, tiger, wildcat or other wild or ferocious animal.
B. 
No person shall suffer or permit any animal of the kind enumerated in Subsection A to be kept, harbored, possessed, exhibited or impounded upon any property owned or leased by said person.
A. 
Every veterinarian who shall attend any animal in the Township affected with or suspected to be affected with anthrax, glanders, farcy, foot and mouth disease, rabies, tuberculosis, or any other communicable disease shall file with the Division of Health within 12 hours thereafter a written report stating the name of the disease, the kind of animal, the precise location of such animal, the name and address of the owner or person in charge thereof, and any other necessary information regarding the animal so affected. In case no veterinarian shall attend such animal, then it shall be the duty of the owner or person in charge to file such report with the Division of Health.
B. 
The owner or person in charge of any animal affected with or suspected to be affected with any disease mentioned in the preceding section or with any other communicable disease shall isolate or restrict such animal and follow such precautions in such manner and for such length of time as the Division of Health may direct. The Division of Health shall have the power to order the destruction of any animal with any such disease, and it shall be the duty of the owner or person in charge thereof to immediately comply with the terms of such order.
C. 
The Division of Health shall not be liable for the value of any animal so destroyed.
A. 
Whenever any animal shall be bitten by any animal affected or suspected of being affected with rabies, the owner or person in charge of the animal so bitten shall, according as the Division of Health may order, either have such animal destroyed or have it isolated, in a manner approved by the Division of Health, for a period of six months.
B. 
Whenever a dog, cat or other animal shall have bitten any person, the owner or person in charge thereof shall securely confine such animal for the purpose of observation in such a manner and for such a period as may be designated by the Health Officer.
C. 
No person shall destroy, sell, move or otherwise dispose of any animal under supervision as herein provided without permission of the Division of Health.
A. 
Quarantined birds.
(1) 
Whenever a case of psittacosis exists among birds within the Township, or there is danger of the transmission of psittacosis from the Township, the Division of Health shall establish adequate bird quarantine procedures.
(2) 
Quarantined birds shall not be transported from a quarantined area unless permission therefor shall be granted by the Health Officer into which such birds are to be transported under conditions which may be prescribed by the Division of Health. In the event the destination of quarantined birds is beyond the boundaries of this state, permission must be obtained from the State Department of Health.
B. 
Dealers' records. Dealers in birds of the psittacine family shall keep a record for at least two years of each transaction relating to such birds. This record shall include the names and addresses of sellers and purchasers of these birds, the time when and proof of the manner in which they were transported, and certificates as required by the State Department of Health. Such record shall be available to inspection by authorized representatives of the Division of Health or the State Department of Health.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
