Township of Livingston, NJ Article II Nature Preserves

[Adopted 11-5-1979 as §§ 18-1 and 18-45 to 18-46 of the 1979 Revised General Ordinances]

§ 210-7 Purpose.

The purpose of this article is to protect certain areas of the Township, designated as nature preserves in § 210-8, from unsightly appearance, alteration or deterioration.

§ 210-8 Designated nature preserves.

The following areas are designated as nature preserves:

156	Portion of Lot 1, immediately west of Board of Education property
158	46B, 46C

§ 210-9 Prohibited acts.

Within any designated nature preserve, no person shall:

A. Dump or dispose of any garbage, refuse matter, junk or waste material;

B. Remove any natural material therefrom;

C. Alter any existing feature; or

D. Except in an emergency, operate any motor vehicle thereon, without obtaining the approval of the Council.

§ 210-10 Violations and penalties.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided herein, any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
