There is hereby created the office of Township Prosecutor.
The Township Prosecutor shall be an attorney at law of the State of New Jersey, in good standing, and shall be appointed by the Township Committee as other Township appointive officers are appointed. He shall hold office for one year from January 1 and until his successor has been appointed.
It shall be the duty of the Township Prosecutor to attend such sessions of the Municipal Court as requested by the Judge of said Court and prepare, process and prosecute complaints before the Court in behalf of the Township.
The Township Prosecutor shall receive such salary as is fixed in the Salary Ordinance of the Township.[1]

This chapter shall take effect after final passage and publication as provided by law and shall become a part of the Code of the Township of Mansfield.
