A.
Traffic control signals shall be established at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 265-42), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B.
The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance
with the provisions of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles and Traffic
Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated,
and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation
as authorized by the Department of Transportation of the State of
New Jersey.
A.
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule II (§ 265-43), attached to and made a part of this chapter, is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated.
B.
Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and
maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule III (§ 265-44), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 265-45), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule V (§ 265-46), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 265-47), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VII (§ 265-48), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designations.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 265-49), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 265-50), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The lane locations described in Schedule X (§ 265-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
No-passing zones are hereby established and shall be maintained along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI (§ 265-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter, as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in accordance with the sketch dated and numbered as indicated.

A.
A truck route system upon which all trucks having a total gross weight in excess of four tons' gross weight are permitted to travel and operate shall be as set forth in Schedule XII (§ 265-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B.
All trucks having a total gross weight in excess of
four tons' gross weight are hereby excluded from all streets except
those streets listed in said schedule, except that this exclusion
shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise
or other property along the street from which such vehicles are excluded.

All trucks having a total gross weight in excess of four tons are hereby excluded from those streets listed in Schedule XIIA of § 265-53.1.

A.
Definitions. "Engine-braking" shall mean the use or
operation of any mechanical exhaust device designed to aid in the
braking, decompression or deceleration of any motor vehicle which
results in the excessive, loud, unusual or explosive noise from such
vehicle.
B.
Prohibition. It shall be unlawful for the driver of
any motor vehicle to use or operate or cause to be used or operated,
at any time and on any road within the Township of Mount Holly, any
mechanical exhaust or decompression device which results in the practice
known as "engine-braking."
C.
Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not
apply to the application of unmuffled compression brakes where necessary
for the protection of persons and/or property, which cannot be avoided
by application of an alternative braking system. Noise caused by the
application of engine compression brakes, otherwise known as "engine-braking,"
which is effectively muffled or if the application is necessary for
the health, safety and welfare of the community is exempt from the
provisions of this section. Sounds created by emergency equipment
of emergency purposes are also exempt.
D.
Posting of signs. The Township is hereby authorized
to post at reasonable locations within the Township signs indicating
the prohibition of engine-braking.
