[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council
of the Borough of Bridgeport 4-6-1971 by Ord. No. 341, approved 4-6-1971 (Ch. 4 of the 1975 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The office of Auditor of the Borough of Bridgeport
is hereby abolished and the Borough Council of the Borough of Bridgeport
shall appoint an independent auditor pursuant to its authority under
Section 1005, Subsection 7, of the Borough Code.[1]

Said independent auditor shall be a certified
public accountant registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified
public accountants so registered, or a competent public accountant
or a competent firm of public accountants.
An independent auditor shall be appointed annually
by resolution of the Borough Council of the Borough of Bridgeport.
