GENERAL REFERENCES
Park and Recreation Advisory Committee — See Ch. 66.
A. 
The Borough parks, playgrounds and open space and the recreation fields, equipment and facilities thereon shall be open to all Montgomery County residents and guests who may be in their company from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily unless specifically closed, in whole or in part, by directive of the Borough Manager, Borough police or Borough Council.
B. 
Use of any of the facilities by nonresidents of Montgomery County shall only be permitted when accompanied by Montgomery County residents or with prior written approval of the Borough Council.
All parks and playgrounds within the Borough of Bridgeport shall be posted with an appropriate sign substantially setting forth the following rules and regulations, prohibited uses and activities:
A. 
The park is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Special exceptions for deviation from the normal hours of operation are available through written application to Borough Council.
B. 
Unsupervised use of these facilities and equipment is at the sole risk and peril of the user.
C. 
No motor vehicles are permitted on these grounds.
D. 
No animals are permitted on these grounds.
E. 
Golf is not permitted.
F. 
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at any time.
G. 
No skateboards are permitted on these grounds.
H. 
Roller blades/roller skates are not permitted on tennis courts or basketball courts.
I. 
Bicycles are not permitted on play areas or ball fields.
J. 
Supervision for play will be furnished at times stated or announced for program activities.
K. 
Use of grounds, fields and courts are for Montgomery County residents only.
L. 
Private use of facilities are by approval and permit issued by the Bridgeport Community Fund.
M. 
Any and all damages will be assessed upon person(s) responsible. All rules will be enforced by the Code Enforcement Officer, his/her representative and by the Bridgeport Police Department.
The Bridgeport Borough Police Department, the Code Enforcement Officer or his/her representative shall be authorized to enforce the rules and regulations adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Bridgeport and shall exercise general supervision over persons occupying or using the parks, playgrounds or open space of the Borough.
Any person, partnership, corporation, unincorporated association or other entity who or which shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the Borough, be subject to a fine not to exceed $300, per violation, plus costs of prosecution and reasonable attorney's fees.
