There shall be a Treasurer/Collector appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a 1-year term. The Treasurer/Collector shall give bond satisfactory to the Board of Selectmen. The Treasurer/Collector's duties and authority shall include, but shall not be limited to, those specified in M.G.L. ch. 41, §§ 35-38A and ch. 44, § 2. Whenever it shall be necessary to execute any deed conveying Town land, the same shall be executed with the approval of the Board of Selectmen by the Treasurer/Collector on behalf of the Town. No Town order shall be paid to any person whose taxes are unpaid.
