The Town Collector and the Town Treasurer[1] shall collect all accounts due the town. All departments having bills due the town shall commit the same to the Town Collector, who shall proceed to collect the same and pay over, once in each week or more often, to the Town Treasurer all money received by said officer during the preceding week or lesser period.

The Treasurer shall have the custody of all receipted bills and receipts of all notes, bonds and coupons which have been paid and of all bonds running to the town, except said Treasurer's official bond, which shall be in the custody of the Town Clerk.
