A. 
The terms "heavy vehicle" or "heavy vehicles" where used in this article shall be construed to mean any vehicle of a gross weight of three tons or over.
B. 
All heavy vehicles are prohibited from using Burd Street, Knowles Street, East Franklin Avenue, Eglantine Avenue and King George Road, except for the purpose of carting from or to points on said streets.
A. 
The Borough Council of the Borough of Pennington, County of Mercer, has determined that the following roads should be de-designated as truck routes within the Borough of Pennington: West Franklin Avenue west from Route 31 to the Hopewell Township municipal line.
B. 
The Borough Council has determined that the aforementioned road should be de-designated as a truck route for the following reasons:
(1) 
Said road is inadequate to accommodate the stress imposed by truck use.
(2) 
Said road is too narrow with little or no shoulder to pull off for emergencies.
(3) 
Said road is exclusively residential and highly developed and therefore inappropriate for truck use.
C. 
The following road shall be de-designated as a truck route within the Borough of Pennington: West Franklin Avenue west from Route 31 to the Hopewell Township Municipal line.
Buses and trucks over four tons gross weight shall use their lowest gear and shall not exceed a speed of 15 miles per hour in descending the declivities on West Delaware Avenue on the west side of the bridge crossing the Reading Railroad and on North Main Street at a location approximately 235 feet from the center line of Brookside Avenue.
Any person found guilty of a violation of this article shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000, imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or a combination thereof.
