[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cedarhurst 3-2-1964 as Secs. 7-2 and 7-6 of the 1964 Code of Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful for any person to do the following:
A. 
Failure to stop, park vehicle. While driving or while in the control of any vehicle in the village, to fail, upon the approach of any fire engine, hose wagon, hook and ladder truck or other fire apparatus, when such apparatus shall be traveling to or from a fire, to immediately drive or place such vehicle or cause the same to be driven or placed close to and parallel with the curb or sidewalk of the street whereon such vehicle may then be and thereupon to immediately stop or cause such vehicle to stop and there remain until such fire apparatus shall have removed from such vicinity.
B. 
Passing fire apparatus. While in control of any vehicle in the village to cause or attempt to cause such vehicle to pass any fire engine, hose wagon, hook and ladder truck or other fire apparatus in said village while such apparatus is in motion.
C. 
Obstructing fire hydrant. Being in control of any vehicle to fail to move or cause the same to be moved from the vicinity of any fire hydrant upon orders to do so from any Fire Department or company officer.
D. 
Crossing fire hose. Being the driver of any vehicle, other than an ambulance or a public service vehicle or a vehicle carrying the United States mail, to drive the same over any fire hose lying on any street, road or highway; or
E. 
Remaining within fire line. Not being a firefighter, police officer or village officer, to remain without the permission of the Fire Department or company within any fire line established in the village by the fire company or by firefighters present.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable to a penalty set in accordance with Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.
