[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Woodbridge 5-2-1983 as Ch. 2, Art. III, of the 1983 Code; amended 5-16-1996, effective 6-17-1996. Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
There shall be not fewer than 15 nor more than 99 Justices of the Peace in the Town of Woodbridge pursuant to § 9-183a of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended. Each major party may nominate in 1996 and quadrennially thereafter 1/3 of the total number of allowable Justices of the Peace, and the Town Clerk shall appoint in 1996 and quadrennially thereafter up to 1/3 of the allowable Justices of the Peace in accordance with the procedures outlined in §§ 9-183a through 9-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended.
