The ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Creating the Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority" as presented at a public hearing on May 11, 2005, be and is hereby adopted.[1]

Pursuant to said ordinance, the creation of the regional entity known as the Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority is hereby approved and the transfer and sale of the wastewater system assets to the GNHWPCA is hereby approved, and that Amey W. Marrella, First Selectman, be and is hereby empowered, authorized and directed to negotiate, execute and deliver, on behalf of the Town of Woodbridge, the asset purchase agreement and any and all other agreements, documents and instruments related to the transfer of the wastewater system assets, and to perform any and all acts necessary or appropriate to effectuate the transfer of the wastewater system assets to the GNHWPCA.
This ordinance shall be effective upon passage by each of the constituent municipalities, but no earlier than the 30th day following its final passage by the Woodbridge Board of Selectmen pursuant to the provisions of § 4-5 of the Woodbridge Town Charter.
