The Town of Copake is hereby authorized to convert to its own use in
any calendar year up to 1% of the unclaimed abandoned vehicles, as further
defined in the provisions of § 1224 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law
(provided that such abandoned vehicles are not affected by Subdivision 2 of
§ 1224 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law) or two such vehicles, whichever
is greater.
The Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute all legal documents
and Department of Motor Vehicle forms necessary to effect the transfer of
title and/or disposition of abandoned vehicles pursuant to the provisions
of § 1224 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
