The Town Board of the Town of Fishkill hereby creates a second position of Legislative Aide to the Town Board.
The position of Legislative Aide to the Town Board shall be an unclassified service position pursuant to § 35, Subdivision (c), of the New York Civil Service Law.
The duties and responsibilities of the Legislative Aide to the Town Board shall be as follows:
A. 
Provide assistance to the Town Board and the Director of Affordable Housing on matters related to the application and enforcement of Chapter 150, Article IXA, Senior Citizen Housing Districts, of the Town Code of the Town of Fishkill ("Senior Citizen Housing") and Chapter 150, Article IXB, Affordable Housing, of the Town Code of the Town of Fishkill ("Affordable Housing").
B. 
Review proposed housing and development projects submitted by private landowners and/or developers for an analysis and determination of the manner in which the Senior Citizen Housing Law and the Affordable Housing Law will be applied to the project.
C. 
Periodically provide advice and opinion to the Town Board of the Town of Fishkill and to the Director of Affordable Housing regarding whether any particular local law of the Town of Fishkill may require amendment so that the goals of the Senior Citizen Housing Law and the Affordable Housing Law can be achieved.[1]
