GENERAL REFERENCES
Building code administration — See Ch. 56.
A Building Inspector for the Town of Greenport is hereby appointed effective July 1, 1975, for a term to be served at the pleasure of the Town Board. It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector:
A. 
To maintain and enforce the New York State Building Code in accordance with regulations previously set forth by the Town Board.[1]

B. 
To formulate permanent policy, including procedures for applicants, and to provide and establish all record systems and forms for the orderly operation of such office.
C. 
To maintain and enforce the Town Trailer Ordinance,[2] including a review of applications and a yearly inspection of all trailer permit renewals.

D. 
To cooperate with and conform to the requirements of the Town Board and the Planning Board.
Effective January 1, 1976, the pay for services shall be $100 per month, covered by budgetary action, and shall remain so until amended by Town Board action.
