The Superintendent of Highways and the Town Clerk of the Town of Greenport shall continue to be accorded the same health insurance benefits as are provided to the members of the Town of Greenport Unit, Columbia County Local 811 of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, under a certain labor agreement effective January 1, 1996, (Article V, Insurance and Retirement) and such successor agreements as may be adopted from time to time by the Town of Greenport with its unionized employees.

Any persons serving in an elected capacity in the office of Supervisor, Councilman, Assessor, Town Justice and Tax Collector who has served in such office prior to January 1, 1998, for cumulative periods of time as hereinafter designated, shall be entitled to health insurance benefits on the indicated copayment basis upon reaching their 58th birthday for coverage to include spousal benefits as are provided to members of the Town of Greenport Unit, Columbia County Local 811 of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCE, APL-CIO, under a certain labor agreement effective January 1, 1996, (Article V, Insurance and Retirement) and such successor agreements as may be adopted from time to time by the Town of Greenport with its unionized employees.
Health care benefits are per the following schedule.

Other than the foregoing, after January 1, 1998, no persons serving as Supervisor, Councilman, Assessor, Town Justice and Tax Collector shall be eligible for health benefits.
