The Board of Water Commissioners of the Old
Westbury Water Department is hereby empowered to relieve a consumer
from the obligations of paying penalties and/or certain charges, provided
that the consumer demonstrates good cause for requesting such relief.
Among other things, "good cause" shall include
undetected leaks, misdirected mail and similar items which, in the
opinion of the Board of Water Commissioners, constitute good cause.
