It is hereby declared to be the intent and policy of the Town of Schodack,
County of Rensselaer, State of New York, to protect its officers and employees
pursuant to the provisions of § 18 of the Public Officers Law of
the State of New York.
The Town of Schodack hereby agrees to confer the benefits of the aforesaid
§ 18 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York upon the
officers and employees of the Town of Schodack and to be held liable for the
costs incurred under the provisions of such § 18 of the Public Officers
Law.
The implementation of this chapter shall be in accordance with all of
the terms and provisions of § 18 of the aforesaid Public Officers
Law, and the Town and its officers and employees shall be controlled by the
provisions contained within such law.
